Born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. He graduated from Kiski Area Senior High School in 1963 and served four years in the United States Marine Corps before earning his Bachelor’s degree at Slippery Rock and Master’s degree from Duquesne University. After a rewarding career with the U.S. Department of Labor, he retired in Philadelphia in 1999.
James had served a four-year term as a School Board Director for the Bensalem Township School District. For the past decade, he served as an AARP Driver Safety Instructor. He’s also active in the local Feasterville-Trevose Lions Club, as Treasurer since inception and a member of the Bristol Photographers’ Club.
He lives with his wife Kathleen. They have two married daughters, and five grandchildren.
